Exploring Setianism

So my studies have led me towards Setianism and I feel that it may be beneficial to me. Currently I'm reading Uncle Setnakts Essential Guide to the Left Hand Path along with Michael Kelly's Apophis, both of which were recommended to me by devakxes. I've got Don Webb's Seven Faces of Darkness: Practical Typhonian Magic on the way.

Along with these works, I was wondering if anyone here is exploring or has explored Setianism and would be willing to share a bit about their methods and philosophy.

They believe ''God'' is the natural order of the universe. Some have called this ''nature'' or ''universal consciousness.'' Set is supposed to be the only true and conscious God, since he is the God of Consciousness (The principle of isolate intelligence).

The Prince of Darkness is seen in a theistic sense as having been many deities. Shiva for example is The Prince of Darkness seen from the cultural eyes that revere and fear Change. Satan in cultures who do not respect Change. Set in a culture of many paradigms (the god against all gods).

I think you can figure out the rest for yourself. If you type in google ''The Diabolicon'' you can find a PDF. The Temple of Set uses that as their central document of inspiration.

I've been reading what I can get my hands on at the website and have found it to be very insightful and helpful in my study. Today I actually went ahead and performed a Sigil magic experiment in Uncle Setnakts Essential Guide to the Left Hand Path - it involved drawing a 5-by-5 grid of 25 squares and tracing letters from a personal motto+goal and the alphabet to form a unique Sigil and magic square. I found the exercise to be helpful in taking my steps towards the LHP and learning a bit about some of the magic I'd work with.

Sounds a lot like Chaos Magic. Is it related in some way to the Setite cults of old Egypt ?

I had a brief look through the Black Magic pdf and there seems to be quite a bit of relatively modern forms of occultism present.

Is this just another modern branch of mysticism like modern Satanism ?

Is this just another modern branch of mysticism like modern Satanism ?My comments are in relation to the ToS' philosophy which may differ from others that practice their version of Setianism.

Setian philosophy does utilize Chaos Magick quite a bit, as well as many other modern fields such as Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).

The ToS is not a reconstructionalist system of ancient Egyptian religion, though Set is understood in a very simple way, as the origin of the Prince of Darkness.

Satanism is not really another branch of mysticism, neither would be the ToS, which is the successor to the CoS.
