Hello people!
I have a question that bothers me a long time...
I began researching and reading about the occult a few years back. I collected books on various topics (my first book was The Necronomicon and I was fascinated even if is treated as fiction) but the topic that really sucks me in is the Goetia, Grimorium Verum and similar works (Barons Kingdoms Of Flames for example).
Of course I did a trough research and realized that only a really experienced occultist who has mastered meditation, visualisation, LBRP and all other Qaballistic stuff (middle pillar, fountain etc.) can perform those rituals. On the other hand when I look on Lo Milo Duquettes Illustrated Goetia he makes things look so simple... I am even surprised when I hear about some unusual ways of evoking (with candle magick, or just energizing the sigil etc.).
So the thing is: Do I have to master all of the energy work from a system that is basically closely related to religion (I am not a religious type - pics or it didn't happen :P) or should I just rush into the forest, draw a circle and hope that a spirit will not kick me in the face because of my lack of skills to see him and talk to him?
As I said in the Introduction section: I am not new to the occult. I dabbled with sigil magick (today I actually saw results from a work that I have done a few days ago) and some NAP from Geoff Gray Cobb (the 7 day rituals bored me to death even if they say that the stuff really works...).
Otherwise I am just a confused ˝armchair magickian˝. As I said, I am not a religious type but I like the Left Hand Path approach more than Quaballah or Paganism for example... What are your suggestion about combining some stuff together so I can step into magick for real and with solid results?
