Take baby steps with meditation. Don't take too much preassure ,as that in itself might get your mind wondering , try and let go.
It will take practise and it will be hard . Your brain is wired in a certain way and can be re-wired. It takes a lot of work and determination , but can be done.
As they say, it is one of the hardest things a person will do , if this is what you will choose to try and do.
Re-Meditation 20 min per session a few times a day is a good start. Things like yoga and being mindful of everything you physically do on a daily basis. Like how does the water feel when washing my hands, how does the air smell when stepping out, mindful breathing, etc...It would have to be continous everyday and it's hard in the beginning ,as your mind will wonder off...However, accepting that it does , without getting frustrated with your self and continuing the mindfulness work will eventually get easier. When this has been accomplished somewhat , next will be the internal work on the emotional level , where you are an observer of yourself with feeling when they come and what is underneath them, etc)...
This would be a start, in trying to become more grounded in yourself...
Ok ill try it thank you for the help xD

very interesting. you are either a natural or verging on some heavy duty ****. haha perhaps both. sometimes i wish i could do that, the closest I get are acid flash backs (which I actually hate by the way). well and shamanic ecstasy but in no way can I perform it as vividly as you described, not yet at least. all joking aside be careful, psychosis is the real deal I've seen it. if i were you I would go for a sleep study, these are classic symptoms of a sleep abnormality. I have had some strange experiences that went beyond normal dreams, but nothing quite like this. please don't get high I think perhaps you are not the type who should do it, and neither am I actually (for different reasons).
oh for basic meditating, I was a pretty slow learner for that, and what really helped me was focusing more on not moving and the body. at first I had trouble concentrating on breathing and not thinking. inducing a deep feeling of relaxation in the body is easier, at least for me, and it got my feet on the ground for other things. try the middle pillar or a grounding visualization exercise.
Diagnosis of psychotic or manic states is highly irresponsible within the conditions of posts read on the internet. I would disregard such words unless you are concerned; in which case I would advise that you seek medical assistance.
Now that's out of the way, I'll address the points raised.
They could be incredibly vivid dreams. The conditions under which you experienced these phenomena would need to be assessed alongside the reality of the situation.
The main point is whether a physical, geographic location can enhance occult abilities. I would say yes but that it depends on the location. There are two factors that spring to mind here.
Firstly: Familiarity. A sense of safety and protection gleaned from such a location is obviously going to be of great benefit during any magickal pursuit. In this case, the parental home becomes almost like a psychic comfort blanket.
Secondly: Environmental frequencies. High levels of low frequencies do seem to have an effect on the brain and how it perceives reality. There are physical locations with such properties which could contribute to curious occult type phenomena.
I would first need the coordinates of the house to be of any assistance. That's an old thread. An update would be nice.
are you sure you weren't just dreaming lucidly no as in control but feeling awake and asleep at te same time? also do you write down your accounts of such dreams after you have them in a jurnol or log?
give a man a fish you feed or a day, teach a man to fish you feed him for a life time.
Sorry i have not written on the forum for a while, been trying to get my life in order, when i have these dream states or whatever they are i am awake and asleep im in a dream but i move around and see the walls of my room and house, if looked back and it mostly happens in my mothers house, its when its most powerful. Sometimes i get them now but i mostly see 'reality' not this dream state, my last one was in early Jan and i was sleeping on the floor at a freinds house, when i woke up and was still in the dream, i could see the tv was on but it was also off.......than i heard my freinds voice behind a chair, well i fallowed it and behind the chair was i guess you could say a hole more like nothingness pitch black and i heard my name again a lil distorted like it was underwater but i could still hear it...... and i felt cold but hot at the same time like in the dream i was hot but in real life im cold, i always get these feeling when im 'tripping balls'

I can see this is a really old (ish) but still active thread, and I admit, I got a little "eeked" at the term 'psychotic' to describe this experience.
Primarily because this is how my path started as a teen. If I were to hazard a guess, you're a natural traveller. I don't find out of body experiences in the dream-state at all heavy or unusual, but then again; they started at 14 for me and I've got a couple more decades on my shoulders than that now. It comes and goes in 'waves' for me more based on time itself than location or experience.
It sounds like a combination 'leak' between Astral travel and a vivid/lucid dream-state - either a drift from travelling to the dream (aka re-entering your subconcious mind without realizing it) or vice versa. Some people will argue that the twoo are synonymous, and it simply depends on the location/level/vibrational field in the astral you're in at the time.
The forest is a sort of imagery I run into myself, and with a couple other natural travellers I've spoken to (seeing the forest in the dream, opening your eyes, seeing the forest in your room. Sometimes many trees with only trunks, sometimes the shadows of leaves spattered across every surface, as if light is diffusing from every angle, but trees tend to be involved). People who train to Astral Travel tend to have an archetypical set of imagery that fits what they read to learn (circular tunnels, geometric imagery, etc., though naturals will also run into that themselves.)
The care I'd take in these experiences is sleepwalking. Try not to use real doors to leave buildings
I had even discussed these with a psychiatrist (Jeungian) - the decision we reached was regardless of their origin or their meaning, the experiences can and do exist and are valid *experiences* - though they may not fit one definition (magic/astral) or another (psychotic hallucination/auto hallucination).
I would suggest glancing at the Shamanic path as you do your research.
To avoid them, do not sleep on your back. (This doesn't always work, but will work 90% of the time). Do not go to bed exhausted, but tired. Exhausted, the mind is awake, and though some people reach OOBE's through directed meditation, I'm a little convinced that 'unfocused thought' (which is thinking on no one thing in particular by accident) has a bit of the same oomph behind it as guiding yourself to 'not focus on any one thing that comes to you'.
Lucky that you have the internet. I spent a lot of years terrified. Good luck to you.
