give a man a fish you feed or a day, teach a man to fish you feed him for a life time.
I don't commonly astral project, though I do use the third eye whilst in a meditative stance. Once the third eye is opened any/every spell becomes easier, and I also become much more aware of what's going on around you.
This is great for a sorcerer, but I can only hold it open for about 1 min. after I start casting a spell.
It takes lots of practice, and is in my opinion, much more fulfilling than any 'astral projection' technique. It all really depends on which sects you want to learn from.
If you want to learn how to reach the third eye 'clear-casting' state, merely ask. I'll make a topic for it in the spell trade area.
Thank you i will try that becasue i have felt that sensation before but not sure what it was.

But that doesn't solve the problem, I think the problem lies with the relaxation part what are some techniques to get properly relaxed.

Honestly, I've never had a problem with relaxation.
I believe your problem could be the result of a few different things:
1) Age. As you age and mature these types of tasks become easier. (Normally between the ages of 15-17 is when this becomes an easy feat.)
2) Medical Conditions. I know this is an Occult forum, but medical conditions do exist and can inhibit your ability to relax.
3) Video Games. I know this sounds utterly stupid, but It's true. I was addicted to video games for a year or so, and found it very hard to relax.
Hope these might help!
Suppose I'm still not answering your question eh? Well, heres what I would do to help you relax:
Throughout your day, begin carrying a notebook around with you and record anything and everything that makes you feel relaxed. This can be anything from colors to thoughts to sitting positions. Once you've accumulated a good list of things that relax you, try to put them all into a single scenario before entering a 'meditation' state.
Hope this helped some!
