    Default Fenrir and Gleipnir

I know the basic story of Fenrir, such as how the Gods became afraid of his power, and tricked him into the Gleipnir trial. What I want to know is how the Gleipnir was created, and more about the dwarves. I'm pretty sure it was them who created the binding ribbon, but how did they do it, and who are they in particular.

    Thanks in advanced.

The eldest son of Loki by his mistress the Giantess Angrboda. At first the gods were content to let him roam free but they soon became concerned by his rapid growth. Only the god Tiw/Tyr was brave enough to approach him. Eventually the gods tried to ban Fenrir; claiming they would give him fame they tried to bind him first by using a vast chain, then another and finally the ribbon Gleipnir (made of things which were thought not to exist e.g. a woman's beard, the sound a cat makes when it lands or moves.)All of these were forged by dwarves.

Fenrir realised that cunning and magic may have gone into the making of Gleipnir and so Tiw/Tyr placed his left hand into Fenrir's mouth, as a sort of sign of good faith, in order for the wolf to allow the gods to bind him with Gleipnir. Fenrir could not break Gleipnir as he had done with the chains, realising he had been tricked he bit off Tyr's hand.

This is of the subject in which you ask?

Yeah. Are their more stories of Fenrir as well aside from that one and the Ragnarok one?

Fenris begat a son, skoll, who will one day devour the sun, and a daughter, hati hridvidson (I think) who will one day devour the moon.
