Thread: Help with marriage

I have been with a spiritual satanist for quite a little while now. I don't know much about the beliefs but am always willing to learn. I myself am not religious in any way. We plan to get married within the next year and both of our families are Christian/catholic so we will be putting on a ceremony for them of course but he has an extended group of friends who also practice spiritual satanism. I'm trying to figure out if there is a ceremony in honor of his beliefs that we could perform to complete our union. Is there a certain type of priest or priestess I need to find to have this ceremony? Do I need to practice the religion as well? Should I dedicate before I try to set up this ceremony? What do I do? I'm having a very hard time finding answers on this subject and would very much appreciate it if someone could help me to figure out what I need to do. Thank you : )

A Marriage should be about you and your partner not about making yourself more acceptable to families or friends. Sadly in weddings that is not always the goal. But think of this, if you are doing the union for others then what kind of start are you given the marriage in the first place?.
The union is vows between you and your mate in front of friends and family not for friends and family. There is a diff.
You need to step back ask, who am I really wanting this day to be for?
What kind of person do I want to wed me?.
Do I want religion to be the goal? Do I want a church? Or park?
If you want a man dressed like Anton Levay to wed you guys then so be it.<- whatever you choose or desire.
This is your time and your mates. Let the rest deal either they have a blessing for you or not.

Have the person wedding you not use any christian referances but focus on love and unity. Do something symbolic that means something to you and your partner that the Christians wont get offended by like tie and black or red ribbon around you and your partners wrists showing a joint unity. As always iza, your answer was both well put and infinitely informative. Id like to point out that the OPs question has not been answered. I imagine there may be an answer to your query in the satanists bible though as i haven't read it in years, i am uncertain.

If i read it correctly OP is putting the wedding on for there family who is Christian Catholic not for themselves who are spiritual Satanist's if that is the case its doubtful the OP will find anything in the Satanic Bible to help.
But maybe just the belief in do what you feel comfortable with not what religion and people say you should. That is the basic's of the Satanic bible at least it was the last time I read it. I just believe that nobody should put a wedding on for others but we wont know untill the OP comes back to be honest the OP has left me personally with more questions then I would have answers for LOL.
