I usually do a three to five card reading, but if I'm looking for more detail I usually go with the Celtic Cross.

I started with the three card past, present and future reading which i like. There is something about drawing three cards that is so succinct in direction.

I practice a seven card Star of David or hexagram reading which is a little more in depth, covering past, present, future, environment, unconscious, solution and conclusion.

I also use three card yes/no readings. For a direct answer i will read with uprights and reversals. 3 upright - definitely yes, 2 up 1 down - probably so, 1 up 2 down - maybe no, 3 down - definitely not!

I think direct yes/no readings are a little dangerous however, and i prefer an empowering three card yes/no spread. Card 1 - factors in favor of the desired outcome, Card 2 - factors working against the desired outcome, Card 3 - the most important or deciding factor.

I started becoming interested in Tarot reading when I first asked one of my friends, who is a Tarot reader to do a reading for me. Since that experience several months ago, I got myself a personal Tarot deck to do my own reading, learning everything from scratch.

My first spread I used was the celtic cross spread as it seems to be the more common spread among readers.

Then, I came across the Thoth spread (15-card) spread and the astrological spread, both to me, are very helpful in looking into my life's situations depending on the occasion itself.

These 3 are, in my opinion, one of the best and most accurate.

I usually do a three card spread every day, to get controll of my incoming day. Then every sunday evening i do celtic cross spread, just to clear the week that has past and the one who is coming.
